BBJ projects stack up at Greenpoint

Greenpoint Technologies, like most of the narrowbody and widebody completion centers, is dealing with growing demand. The Kirkland, Wash.-based independent completion center (Booth No. 948) specializes in Boeing Business Jet interiors. It is scheduled to deliver one this month and will be replacing it with another in the first quarter of next year.

According to executive v-p Sloan Benson, Greenpoint has BBJ interior completion work scheduled into 2012. She also noted, “The geographical location of our clients has changed, adding Russia and India to an already strong client base.”
In addition to recent deliveries, Greenpoint has received a contract to design, engineer and manufacture an extensive modification kit for an unidentified aircraft manufacturer. The program is scheduled for multiple ship-set deliveries through 2020.

In July Greenpoint received its Partnership for Safety Plan from the FAA aircraft certification office in Seattle. The plan defines the working relationship between Greenpoint and the FAA, thereby improving the communication process and response time for obtaining supplemental type certificates.

The company is well known for its BBJ interior completion work and is a Boeing-recognized completion center and certified to ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. Even so, Greenpoint by no means restricts its workload to Boeing Business Jets, or Boeing products. Greenpoint has a portfolio that includes Boeing 747s, MD-80s and the DC-10.
