Cessna Turbo 206 Gets Gross Weight Increase
The weight increase gives the workhorse a maximum useful load of up to 1,623 pounds, depending on configuration.

Textron Aviation is unveiling an updated version of the venerable Cessna 206 Turbo Stationair this week at EAA AirVenture 2016. The $664,350 Turbo Stationair HD features a gross weight increase of 189 pounds, giving it a maximum useful load of 1,470 pounds in standard configuration with six seats or 1,623 pounds with passenger seats out in utility configuration.


The enhanced version of the company's T206H single-engine piston on display this week at Oshkosh is equipped with a flat-floor cabin, stowable seats, and external cargo pod and is powered by a turbocharged 310-hp Lycoming TIO-540-AJ1A engine mated to a McCauley three-blade, constant-speed, heated propeller. It features the Garmin G1000 avionics suite with integrated synthetic-vision technology, dual 10.4-inch LCD screens and ADS-B OUT capability.
