Private aviation group JetSetGo has started working with Eve Air Mobility on plans to introduce the eVTOL aircraft manufacturer’s Vector urban air traffic management software in India. The companies announced their partnership at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi on January 21.
While JetSetGo has <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2024-01-19/indias-jetsetgo-commits-more-electric-hybrid-aircraft">previously placed provisional orders</a> for Overair’s Butterfly eVTOL aircraft and Horizon’s Cavorite model, the operator has yet to confirm its intention to add Eve’s four-passenger aircraft to its fleet. In January 2024, the Delhi-based company also signed a sales agreement for Electra Aero’s hybrid-electric blown-lift-wing short takeoff and landing aircraft.
According to a report in India’s The Economic Times, JetSetGo has also forged a deal with SkyDrive that could lead to orders for its three-seat <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/futureflight/2024-08-29/skydrive-attracts-55-million-new-funding-evtol-aircraft">SD-05 eVTOL aircraft</a>. However, the Japanese manufacturer has yet to confirm this agreement.
Eve, whose majority shareholder is business jet manufacturer Embraer, has now signed up 14 customers for its Vector air traffic management platform. The company said JetSetGo is its second customer in India based on a 2023 agreement with Hunch Mobility, a joint venture between Blade Air Mobility and Hunch Ventures, to prepare to launch eVTOL <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/futureflight/2023-11-15/eve-air-mobility-eyes-bangalore-launchpad-india-operations">air taxi services in Bangalore</a>.
<h2>Beyond Private Jets</h2>
JetSetGo’s current charter flight fleet consists of 10 jets including a Cessna Citation CJ2, three Hawker 800XPs, a Hawker 750, a Hawker, a Gulfstream G200, a Dassault Falcon 2000, an Embraer Legacy 600, and a Bombardier Global 6000. It also operates a pair of Leonardo AW109 helicopters.
According to JetSetGo co-founder and CEO Kanika Tekriwal, the company will deploy the Vector technology to support its planned eVTOL operations. “This technology is vital for tackling issues like traffic congestion, wasted hours, worsening air pollution, and the need for eco-friendly travel solutions,” she commented. “Furthermore, our efforts focus on ensuring that urban air mobility solutions are quiet, safe, and widely embraced by communities. Through these innovations, we aim to improve urban life and position India as a global leader in the future of aviation.”
