A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

F/List, a provider of luxury interior materials for the aircraft, yacht, and luxury residence markets, opened a new facility yesterday near Fort Lauderdale, Florida. For the company, which is headquartered in Thomasberg, Austria, this represents its fourth North American production facility, joining those in Denver; Savannah, Georgia; and Montreal.
The location includes two separate sites: an 11,500-sq-ft building in Davie and a 1,700-sq-ft workshop at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE). The former features a sample design showroom, upholstery studio, cabinetry workshop, and paint booth for specialized varnishing.&nbsp;At KFXE, the workshop provides customer service and installation. F/List's capabilities in South Florida range from minor repairs of leather and veneers to cabin refurbishments and complete interiors.
Led by company veteran Stefan Rust, who formerly managed F/List’s Dubai operation, the Florida facilities have a staff of 13. That is expected to increase early next year to support new and existing customers.
“Our U.S. customer base is growing daily, with airframe manufacturers, aircraft owners and operators, architects, designers, and luxury residential proprietors recognizing the added value our top quality, innovative, and singular products bring to their interiors,” said company CEO Katharina List-Nagl. “We’re excited to add this facility to a dynamic part of the region to ensure continued service excellence and look forward to continued growth across North America.”
