Germany-based aircraft maintenance provider Vartan Aviation Group has increased its U.S. footprint with the authorization and opening of a new repair station in Seattle. Run by the company’s Vartan USA subsidiary, it officially received its FAA Part 145 certificate last month and plans to specialize in aircraft cabin refurbishment.
As such, the Seattle facility will serve all cabin needs, including repair, overhaul, and modification of seats, galleys, lavatories, sidewall panels, overhead bins, class dividers, and VIP interiors. With a global staff of more than 400 at facilities in Hamburg, Abu Dhabi, and now Seattle, the company said it will also go to any location worldwide upon request, within 24 hours, if required.
“We have seen a growing demand for highly flexible maintenance and repair services over the last few years, and wanted to go into this market,” said Sven Kampf, the U.S. division’s managing director. “With the FAA certificate, our teams can now make double use of their support expertise with lots of different cabin products, and I am very happy that we can offer our customers these new services.”
