Greenpoint Technologies Wins 787 Mod Work
Company contracted two additional 787-8s and one 787-9 earlier this year, bringing the total contracted 787 interior modifications to six.

Boeing completions specialist Greenpoint Technologies has signed its sixth 787 VIP modification contract, this time for a head-of-state interior on a 787-8 for an undisclosed customer. The Greenpoint team will design the interior in partnership with the client.

Similar to a modification announced in January, the aircraft was sold while undergoing completion at the Kirkland, Washington company’s VIP Aircraft Completion Center in Moses Lake, and the newly contracted interior modifications will accommodate the design needs of the new owner. Greenpoint declined to disclose the new redelivery date.

Greenpoint delivered its first 787-8 head-of-state interior completion to Kestrel Aviation Management last year, then Kestrel delivered it to an undisclosed Asian buyer. Dubbed the “787 Dream Jet” by Deer Jet, which is operating the airplane, it is now embarking on a “Dreams Encounter the World” exhibition tour to showcase the aircraft to elite charter customers.

Greenpoint contracted two additional 787-8s and one 787-9 earlier this year, bringing the total contracted 787 interior modifications to six, which includes both green completions and reconfigurations, as with this latest -8.
