Empire Aviation has placed an order with Honeywell (Booth U123) to install its suite of GoDirect connectivity services and products on Empire’s entire fleet of managed aircraft. In the cabin, the AvioIP cabin router will enhance Wi-Fi, Honeywell said. In the cockpit, pilots will have access to Honeywell’s Global Data Center for real-time flight support and weather information. Satcom1, a recent Honeywell acquisition, will perform the installation work for the Dubai-based operator.
In San Marino, subsidiary Empire Aviation San Marino is building its registered fleet. It currently has two managed aircraft registered–a Dassault Falcon 7X and a Bombardier Challenger 300–with four further managed business jets in the pipeline for a planned mid-year registration. The civil aviation authority of the Republic of San Marino last year awarded Empire Aviation an aircraft operator certificate (AOC) for aircraft management and charter.
