Advent Aerospace recently hired 25-year business aviation industry veteran Brian Barber to help expand the company’s offerings beyond VIP aircraft completions. In his new role as vice president of sales and marketing, Barber will help Advent’s management team identify new markets for its composite structures business.
“We intend to broaden our reach into other areas where lightweight structures are needed, while increasing market share in our existing markets,” said Advent Aerospace president Steve Jourdenais. Advent’s Jormac Aerospace and Cabin Innovations division are established players in the completions industry.
Before joining Advent, Barber was vice president of sales and marketing with Lufthansa Technik’s BizJet, where he was responsible for sales of VIP completions, airframe maintenance, modification and refurbishment services to the narrowbody, corporate and commercial aircraft market. While at BizJet, he also held the title of vice president of completions.
