Greenpoint Technologies, a completion center specializing in Boeing cabin completion work, has won a contract for the interior completion of an executive version of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The Kirkland, Wash.-based center has been engaged in preparation for its first 787 interior outfitting project for the past seven years, sending teams to attend Boeing symposiums and to study the aircraft’s systems and composite fuselage structure. The goal during that time, according to CEO Scott Goodey, was to obtain the knowledge and resource library to efficiently price and contract a 787 completion.
Greenpoint’s engineering and design team is collaborating closely with the customer’s own designer to create an interior that meets the aesthetic and operational requirements of the owner.
