A 22,000-sq-ft facility has been added to Legacy Aviation Services’ C.E. Page Airport complex outside Oklahoma City. It almost doubles the MRO’s maintenance and modification shop space. According to the company, the decision to add more service area comes as Legacy is responding to a growing customer base. A spokesman for the company said, “As the business and general aviation fleet of King Airs, early Citations and Twin Commanders continues to age, the need for expert technicians who really understand and can maintain these aircraft is growing big time.” The newly added service capacity will also allow Legacy to expand its offerings to include larger turbine aircraft. “As CEO of Legacy,” said R.J. Gomez, “my job is to make sure we can react appropriately to the needs of our customers, and the turboprop and light jet segment, specifically. We’re fortunate in that the general aviation and business aviation markets know they can receive maintenance, modification and even engineering expertise at Legacy and that we’re going to do what it takes to keep their aircraft safe, viable and as cost effective as possible.”
