Chad started his writing career at The Avion,&nbsp;the&nbsp;student newspaper at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, serving as editor-in-chief before graduating with a bachelor's in aeronautical science. After a stint as managing editor at Professional Pilot&nbsp;magazine, he joined&nbsp;AIN in late 1998. NBAA has joined other organizations in urging Congressional leaders to continue stimulating business capital expenditures by extending the accelerated, or “bonus,” depreciation that is set to expire at the end of this year. In a <a href="http://www.nbaa.org/admin/taxes/depreciation/bonus-extension-letter-20121205.pdf">letter sent to both houses of Congress</a> yesterday, the groups said, “It is imperative that we continue the 50-percent bonus depreciation…for 2013 and beyond. This will provide some certainty to U.S. businesses to allow them to continue to make capital investments, which in turn will create more jobs and help ward off a possible recession in 2013.”
