Aircell Satcoms Approved in Brazil
Brazil’s Agência Nacional De Aviação Civil has approved the installation of Aircell’s Aviator 300 and 350 satcom systems in the Airbus A319 and Cessna CJ3.

Brazil’s Agência Nacional De Aviação Civil has approved the installation of Aircell’s Aviator 300 and 350 satcom systems in the Airbus A319 and Cessna CJ3. According to Aircell, these are the first Inmarsat SwiftBroadband satcoms approved in Brazil. TAM Aviação Executiva in São Paolo installed the Aviator 300 for a corporate operator. Avionics Services of São Paolo installed the Aviator 350 in the Airbus A319, including an Iridium/Inmarsat filter solution, integration with Aircell’s Axxess system and cockpit data capability. The Aviator systems are manufactured by Thrane & Thrane and provide near-global satcom coverage. The Aviator 300 uses an intermediate-gain antenna and offers connection speeds up to 332 kbps, while the Aviator 350 features a high-gain antenna and speeds up to 432 kbps.
