Trimec Aviation has partnered with Texas Jet at Fort Worth Meacham (FTW) to build a new maintenance facility that will double the size of Trimec’s current hangar capacity and triple the size of existing office space. As part of its $4.5 million development project at FTW, Texas Jet is nearing completion of a 30,000-sq-ft hangar it has leased to Trimec Aviation. “The new hangar will also provide us with the option to move into Galaxy/G200 maintenance. We are looking forward to teaming with Texas Jet. It will provide Trimec and our customers with outstanding service and support.” Texas Jet, which completed a 13,800-sq-ft hangar last December, will be a 20-hangar, 350,000-sq-ft complex when the newest hangar is completed. Texas Jet complements Trimec with an FBO. Trimec’s 12 employees, all technicians except an office manager and parts manager, specialize in Westwind maintenance. The MRO is a Worthington Aviation 1124/1124A authorized service center and an FAA-certified repair station for the IAI 1124/1124A, Astra/SPX/G100, Honeywell TFE731-3 and TFE731-40. The company also has established relationships with Duncan Avionics, Aircraft Paint Services and Turbine Engine Specialists.

The MRO is celebrating its 25th anniversary by entering the Galaxy/G200 market. “The new hangar will allow us  to have six to seven aircraft in the shop, providing sufficient space to support the Galaxy/G200 portion of our business,” Trimec Aviation president John Dunn told AIN. “We have just completed our first maintenance work on a customer’s G200 and it went well. The support from Gulfstream Tech Ops and their parts system was solid.”
