Like many others in the completion and refurbishment business, Duncan Aviation is ramping up as the sense of an industry recovery grows.
In the past two months, the Lincoln, Neb. completion and refurbishment, maintenance, overhaul and repair provider has introduced two new programs.
A new âPhased Interior Maintenanceâ program is designed to help operators better plan for interior projects, âwhile increasing the longevity of a functional and aesthetically pleasing cabin.â
According to interior modifications sales representative Nate Darlington, âPhasing an interior allows an operator to reduce overall downtime and costs, adds value by amortizing refurbishment costs over the aircraft life cycle and keeps the aircraft in pristine condition.â
The company has also announced a Learjet interior refurbishment program with a 14-day downtime guarantee. The work includes installation of new soft goods and total strip and refinish of cabinetry. A similar program for the Citation Excel remains active.
The key to the Learjet 45 program starts with proper planning, according to Duncan completion sales representative Matt Spain. âThe rest relies on the experience of Duncan Aviationâs interior craftsmen.â
Duncan has also recently received an STC for Wi-Fi operations in the Gulfstream IV and IV-SP. The certification permits Wi-Fi access in the cabin for Aircellâs Gogo Inflight Internet service, allowing passengers to use iPads, laptops, BlackBerrys, iPhones and other Wi-Fi-enabled devices while in flight.
