Duncan Aviation recently integrated an iPad application for wireless control of the cabin management system in a Falcon 900. The Lincoln, Neb.-based maintenance, overhaul, completion and refurbishment provider claims it is the first such iPad app, and is the first of “many iPad control systems that we plan to deliver over the next several months.” In the Falcon 900, the app works through an Aircell CTR Wi-Fi source and an interface unit to communicate instructions to the Honeywell cabin management system. According to Duncan, the app does not adversely affect any existing functionality or tie up system resources.
