Switzerland’s Altenrhein Aviation (Booth No. 671) managed to keep up income levels during 2009, in good part due to growth in the support work it is now doing for Gulfstream’s midsize jets. The St. Gallen-based maintenance, repair and overhaul company is owned by Pilatus Aircraft and supports its PC-12 single turboprop and Porter family, as well as the Daher-Socata TBM 700/850 series, Cessna’s Citation jets and Caravans, the DHC-6 Twin Otter and the Hawker Beechcraft Beech 1900.

“Gulfstream is our strongest product line thanks to our loyal customers,” said Altenrhein CEO Friedrich Gothsche. “We enjoy a strong partnership with Gulfstream and are an authorized service center for the G100, G150 and G200. We offer heavy maintenance, avionics, component rectification, sheet metal repair, interiors, aircraft painting and warranty administration.” The company’s facility near Zurich can accommodate up to five Gulfstreams at the same time.

Altenrhein’s extensive MRO portfolio also extends to powerplants and into the cockpit. It is an authorized service center for Pratt & Whitney Canada’s engines, as well as for Honeywell’s engines and avionics, and for Rockwell Collins’ cockpit systems.

The company’s facility spans almost 50,000 sq ft and can accommodate five Gulfstreams simultaneously. Customers bring their aircraft from across Europe and from North Africa.
