His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai’s Department of Civil Aviation, plans to open the second Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) show on February 28 at the Airport Expo site in Dubai.

AIME will showcase the latest in design, cabin fittings and new technology. Speakers include Gary Doy of Design Q, which created the BAE Systems Avro Business Jet interior, and Noureddine Madoui of the German design firm Case4de, who recently collaborated to produce an Airbus A380 executive interior proposal.

According to Alison Weller, director of the F&E Aerospace organizing group, the French pavilion has been confirmed at 1,500 sq ft, and the key players attending the show will be Andrew Muirhead, Aircraft Interiors International, AvioInteriors, EADS Sogerma, Eastern Aero Marine, Iacobucci and Recaro.

“I am confident that this year’s AIME will attract smart decision-makers in procurement who will seek out like-minded exhibitors and we shall see some good
deals being made,” concluded Weller.
