For the business aviation market, CMC Electronics has introduced a compact satcom antenna the company calls SatLite. As the name implies, this antenna was designed with size and weight in mind.

Intended to support Aero-H, Aero-H+, Swift64 and the forthcoming SwiftBroadband data service, the svelte antenna weighs in at 17 pounds and measures 2.6 inches high, 40 inches long and 13 inches wide. Like CMC Electronics’ best known satcom antenna, the CMA-2102, the SatLite is designed for installation on the top of the fuselage.

CMC has delivered approximately 2,000 Inmarsat satcom antenna systems to more than 100 airline, OEM, military, corporate and VIP customers, the company said.
