Rockwell Collins has issued a service information letter approving Blue Sky Network’s Iridium satellite phone system as a qualified data channel for its Airshow 4000 moving map and information system. It is also approved for the current fleet of Airshow Network (Genesys) users. Blue Sky’s C-1000A allows delivery of customized news as well as financial, sports and weather data from the Rockwell Collins 24/7 Member Service Center to the aircraft. Content feeds include BBC, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, SportsTicker and Intellicast Weather.
