Pentastar Aviation in Waterford, Mich., has gained STC approval for dual installations of CMC Electronics’ PilotView electronic flight bag (EFB) portable computers in the Gulfstream G100/150, GII/III/IV/V/V-SP and Dassault Falcon 2000/2000EX. The approval also includes the Westwind, Astra and Astra SPX.

The STC covers a yoke-mounted EFB setup that lets operators display Jeppesen nav charts and graphical weather. CMC’s PilotView EFB enables preflight planning and access to aircraft documentation, checklists and flight-planning information. Display of electronic charts, moving map, enhanced-vision camera views and graphical real-time weather information are among the unit’s capabilities.

CMC also announced that Lufthansa Bombardier Aircraft Services (LBAS) of Berlin has installed PilotView in a Global Express. The installation used an STC that LBAS purchased from ABC Completions of Montreal. It covers a side-mounted EFB solution, letting Global Express operators display the Jeppesen charts or use the PilotView unit as an alternative display for enhanced vision.
