Mubadala subsidiary Strata has won a pair of contracts from Airbus to manufacture composite parts and major assemblies. The deals, valued at more than $1 billion, will see Strata become the source for the Airbus A320 horizontal tail plane and the inboard flaps for the A350-900. Composites account for 53 percent of the A350-900’s airframe materials.

Strata will manufacture and assemble the composite components and manage its supply chain from its facility in the Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park in Abu Dhabi.
