<p>In a critical step towards delivering&nbsp;on&nbsp;a pledge to support airspace modernization,&nbsp;the UK has launched&nbsp;significant proposals&nbsp;to&nbsp;redesign the airspace to&nbsp;improve the way&nbsp;aircraft&nbsp;fly in, out, and over the&nbsp;country,&nbsp;starting&nbsp;with&nbsp;London’s&nbsp;busy metropolitan area,&nbsp;By facilitating upgrades&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;UK’s “highways of the sky”&nbsp;concept, the&nbsp;proposed&nbsp;plans could reduce delays, emissions, and noise pollution, “making the industry more efficient and delivering important economic growth for the whole of the&nbsp;UK.”&nbsp;Comments on the proposals are due Dec. 17, 2024.&nbsp;</p>
