CCX Technologies unveiled enhancements to its T-RX avionics tester this week at AEA 2025 in Phoenix, introducing capabilities that further strengthen the platform’s position in the aerospace maintenance sector.

During the convention, Ricardo Irizarry, sales director at CCX Technologies, highlighted the system’s rapid industry adoption since its 2019 launch. T-RX, he said, is “an industry standard for MRO service centers’ AOG teams worldwide.”

The most significant addition announced at AEA is the emergency locator transmitter (ELT) distress-tracking testing capability. “We’re excited to introduce ELT(DT) testing, making the T-RX the first all-in-one solution that tests this critical system,” Irizarry said. This feature addresses emerging regulatory requirements, including recent EASA mandates for certain aircraft categories.

CCX Technologies also introduced comprehensive antenna and coaxial testing functions, including VSWR (voltage standing wave ratio), distance to fault (DFT), cable loss, and return loss measurements. According to Irizarry, the VSWR testing includes frequency band presets tailored for various avionics systems, along with built-in cable loss correction that “automatically compensates for any coaxial losses in the VSWR calculations.”

Additional enhancements include UHF and FM communication testing capabilities, expanding the system’s utility for military and emergency service applications beyond its existing VHF and HF testing functions.

Since the previous AEA convention, CCX has partnered with ATEQ Aviation, creating an integration between the T-RX and ATEQ’s ADSE 650 Air Data Test Set.
