Kopter's SH09 P3 helicopter prototype has achieved speeds of 135 knots and a ceiling of 10,000 feet
The third prototype of Swiss helicopter manufacturer Kopter's SH09 has continued to expand its flight test envelope since its first flight in March. According to the airframer it will now return to the shop for aerodynamic modifications and a new main gearbox housing before resuming testing. Lessons learned from the improved P3 will be used in the configuration of a pair of pre-series helicopters that will fly in 2020.
