Frasca To Feature Cessna 172 FTD at AirVenture
Pilots and flight schools can find the FTD at Booth 58 in the Aviation Gateway Park at AirVenture.

Simulator supplier Frasca International is inviting flight schools and pilots to try its Cessna 172 level 5 flight training device (FTD) with Garmin G1000 avionics at AirVenture. The FTD will be at Booth 58 in the Aviation Gateway Park. With recent FTD orders from seven collegiate flight-training programs, Frasca claims that demand for its various advanced aviation training devices (AATDs) is growing.

“The continuous evolution of pilot training programs and regulations is driving demand for high-fidelity simulators and flight training devices that realistically simulate the performance and flying characteristics of today’s training aircraft,” said John Frasca, president of Frasca International.

Frasca partnered with Alpha Eta Rho (AHP), the aviation fraternity, to offer certified flight instructors free simulator flights at AirVenture. The company also teamed with Sporty’s Academy to give first-time pilots afree logbook to encourage ongoing flight training.

The seven collegiate flight-training programs that ordered Frasca’s Cessna 172 FTDs and AATDs are the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado, Central Oregon Community College in Oregon, Florida Memorial University in Florida, Louisiana Tech University College in Louisiana, Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Oklahoma, Confederation College in Canada and the Korean Aerospace University in South Korea.
