U.S. GA Shipments Growing Modestly In 2014
GA market contributes to $50 billion trade surplus, but fight for ExX-ImM continues.

The Aerospace Industries Association is forecasting U.S. general aviation shipments to grow 4.7 percent in 2014, to 1,691 units valued at $11.9 billion. AIA believes U.S. deliveries will increase further, to 1,742 units next year, valued at $12.7 billion. The GA market also is contributing to the more than $50 billion civil aviation trade surplus. AIA president and CEO Marion Blakey said yesterday that while Congress extended the Export Import Bank authorization for nine months, “We’ve not yet won the war,” and the fight will continue in 2015.
