Aviators seeking employment who happen to be visiting EAA AirVenture might want to stop by the Job Fair on Wednesday, July 31, from noon to 3 p.m. The Job Fair is being held at College Park, in the Education & Interactive Zone northeast of the Wittman Regional Airport control tower. There are 16 scheduled aviation companies looking for qualified candidates, including aircraft manufacturers (Cessna, Piper, Cirrus, Gulfstream), airlines (Air Wisconsin, Alaska, America, SkyWest), avionics manufacturers and aerospace vendors (Rockwell Collins, JPI and many others) and aviation associations such as EAA and The Ninety-Nines.

Future SkyWest pilots also have an opportunity for on-site pilot interviews and flight-skills tests at the Redbird Flight Simulations exhibit (208). Pilot candidates must meet SkyWest’s minimum qualifications, which include 1,500 hours of flight time, a commercial pilot certificate and having passed the ATP written exam. The flight-skills test will be done in a Redbird FMX full-motion King Air 350i simulator and will measure the applicant’s airmanship, proficiency, IFR skills and abilities.
