The Greenpoint Technologies modifications center in Moses Lake, Washington, has extensive experience in completing VIP BBJ aircraft.

An undisclosed customer has commissioned Greenpoint Technologies to complete the cabin interiors of a pair of Boeing BBJ 787-8 widebody bizliners. The company, which is now working with the clients’ interior designers to specify interior details, will be responsible for all engineering, manufacturing, installation, and certification of the cabin.

This latest contract follows an interior completion agreement for a 787-9 inked by the company earlier this year. Greenpoint, part of the French Safran group, is headquartered in the Seattle area near Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ main assembly lines, and its modification center is also in Moses Lake, Washington.

On October 20, the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia—where several BBJ customers are based—issued Greenpoint with a Part 145 repair station certificate. The approval covering maintenance and completions work followed an inspection of the Moses Lake facility.

“It is an honor to be selected for this important program,” said Greenpoint Technologies CEO Klaus Koester. “This contract reflects the confidence our clients place in our team to deliver highly complex aircraft interiors with quality, precision, and consistency.”
