A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

Fresh off Milan’s hosting of the Winter Olympics, SEA Prime, which manages the private aviation infrastructure at the city’s Linate and Malpensa Airports under the Milano Prime brand, held the official grand opening of the new wing of its terminal at Linate today.
Attended by business aviation operators, representatives of local institutions, and airport authorities, the event included speeches from members of Italy’s 2026 Olympic team: gold medalist speed skater Davide Ghiotto and silver medalist skier Federico Tomasoni.
The project—launched in late 2024—included the rebuilding of existing infrastructure and widening the entrances for improved accessibility. As a result, the new addition brings the facility to 2,000 sq m (21,530 sq ft). It&nbsp;features nine glass-walled lounges overlooking the ramp and landside, which have been assigned to leading Italian and international business aircraft operators who will customize them to their own standards. The airside and landside facades of the building are sheathed in corrugated metal, designed to increase brightness.
In the main hall—which was finished with materials used in traditional Milanese architecture—a custom-made polygonal concierge desk, illuminated by a large skylight, welcomes guests. Sustainable features include high-efficiency equipment, solar panels, and an air management system that constantly monitors CO2 levels to optimize air circulation.
The expansion is tied to the company’s growth. Last year, the Linate facility managed 35,900 movements, a&nbsp;year-over-year&nbsp;increase of 7%. For the first two months of 2026, traffic—spurred by the Olympic Games—nearly doubled the pace over 2025, with the terminal handling up to 130 operations a day.
“The inauguration of the new Linate Prime Terminal in the year of the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics…confirms our commitment to meeting the growing demand for high-standard business aviation services and infrastructures, consolidating the role of Milano Prime as a privileged gateway to Milan and Lombardy,” said SEA Prime CEO and general manager Chiara Dorigotti.
