Jet Aviation has introduced what it says is fully-customizable inflight entertainment &nbsp;(IFE) and cabin management system (CMS) software for VIP aircraft. The business aviation services group announced on Monday that has combined the new system with hardware provided by Creston Electronics and certified it for use on aircraft.
In another announcement made as the MEBAA show in Dubai was set to begin, Jet Aviation said its Jet Card pre-paid charter program is now available to customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The program, which is already available in the U.S., includes set airport and "one-time" fees that don't vary according to each destination and seasonal demand.

According to Jet Aviation, the IFE/CMS configuration integrates fixed hardware components into crew and customer areas, alongside mobile tablet remote controls which can be used in any part of the cabins.&nbsp;The system is available for all completion and refurbishment projects, on wide- and narrowbody aircraft, and business jets. The company is currently working on the first installation.
“Developing our own IFE and CMS system is a significant milestone in our commitment to innovation in service of the ultimate cabin experience,” said Florent Klinger, Jet Aviation’s head of engineering. “The Jet Aviation system is completely customizable and scalable, both in design and functionality and we can tailor the software to work in any way a customer requires, from the very complex to the deceptively simple.”
U.S.-based Creston produces audiovisual, lighting, and control and automation technology for offices, homes, and yachts. Jet Aviation has taken responsibility for adapting and qualifying the company’s equipment for aviation functions, including cabin lighting, crew calls, and entertainment options.
<h2>Jet Card Extended to EMEA Region</h2>
Jet Aviation did not specify flight hour rates for the different aircraft types in its charter fleet and those of its operating partners. Trips can be booked in all sizes of jet from midsize business jets to narrowbody bizliners.&nbsp;The program guarantees availability up to 24 hours before departure and provides customers with a dedicated account manager and 24/7 support.
Clients receive monthly account statements to help them manage their charter budgets. Funds held on the card can be refunded without any penalty charges.
The program also offers a 25% discount when charter aircraft park at any of Jet Aviation's 30 FBOs around the world, as well as 10% hourly rate discounts from selected airports and when a return flight is booked ahead of time for departure within 24 hours of the outbound trip.
Flights can be cancelled without charge with 72 hours’ notice. Other complimentary services include aircraft de-icing, positioning, catering, and concierge support.
