She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Pilatus Aircraft’s PC-12 was the most-flown business aircraft in the U.S. between August 2023 and July 2024, logging 316,328 takeoffs, according to the Swiss manufacturer. Citing WingX Advance data published in AvBuyer, Pilatus said the PC-12 turboprop single represented 8.8% of all business aircraft departures.
WingX further informed AIN that the PC-12 led all other turboprops during the same time frame with 362,073 hours, an 8% increase that gave it a 28% market share. In all, turboprops flew nearly 1.3 million hours in the U.S. from August 2023 to July 2024.
More than 2,000 PC-12s are in service with some 70 typically in the air at any given time, Pilatus said. That fleet continues to grow with 101 PC-12s produced last year, along with 48 of them delivered to U.S. customers. Globally, the fleet has topped 10 million hours in a variety of missions, with business travel, cargo transport, air ambulance, and emergency services among them.
The latest version, the PC-12 NGX, was announced in 2019 and entered service with customers in the U.S., Europe, and Brazil in 2020.&nbsp;That aircraft marked a first in its class with a Fadec, Pilatus said.
Powered by the Pratt &amp; Whitney Canada PT6E-67XP turboprop with an electronic propeller and engine control system, the NGX's engine is thermodynamically rated at 1,845 shp but had a 10% increase in cruise flat-rated power to 1,100 shp. Maximum cruise speed was increased by 30 knots over the original model, to 290 knots.&nbsp;The aircraft is also offered with an autothrottle.
