Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

NBAA has released the schedule&nbsp;for the 2021 edition of BACE, to be held October 12 to 14 in Las Vegas, including the key features, as well as associated conferences and forums, that have characterized the event in past years. The annual convention will offer&nbsp;its traditional three days of exhibits and indoor aircraft displays at the Las Vegas Convention Center, as well as the static aircraft display at Henderson Executive Airport.

 


Additionally, a packed schedule of sessions will focus on new technologies, business models, and utilization plans,&nbsp;other trends, and&nbsp;safety&nbsp;and operational considerations. Sessions will range from panels on advanced air mobility, UAS, and sustainability to ones on security, professionalism, airport tenant relations, and SMS, among many others. Several networking sessions are planned, including a reception at the new Maintenance Pavilion. Day one&nbsp;and two keynotes are scheduled, as is the annual Corporate Angel Network benefit cocktail reception.

 


As in the past, the convention will be bookended with a Tax, Regulatory, and Risk Management Conference along with the Single-Pilot Safety Standdown on the eve of the event and a National Safety Forum on the last day. Also on the last day will be the Collegiate Connect Day as NBAA strives to build up the industry's future workforce. A two-day PDP course on aviation leadership will be held as well.
