Abu Dhabi-based Falcon Aviation Services is expanding its offshore oil and gas helicopter fleet with the addition two more Leonardo AW189s, one of which is being leased from GE Capital Aviation Services (GCAS) subsidiary Milestone Aviation Group. These additions will make Falcon Aviation one of the largest AW189 commercial operators, with four of the type on property. Its offshore support fleet also includes an AW169 and 10 Bell 412s.

Falcon Aviationā€™s Milestone-leased medium-twin helicopter will arrive at its Al Bateen Executive Airport base this month to support increasing demand for lift in the offshore oil and gas sector. The AW189 can carry up to 19 passengers and is equipped with air-conditioning and an auxiliary power unit, allowing for continuous air-conditioning in both the cabin and the cockpit without having the main engines running.

ā€œWe greatly appreciate Falcon Aviationā€™s continued trust towards Milestoneā€™s ability to deliver and we are honored to be given the opportunity to further expand on our already strong relationship,ā€ said Michael York, Milestoneā€™s head of emerging markets. ā€œMilestone already has three AW169s on lease to Falcon Aviation, and the addition of this AW189 is testament to Falconā€™s commitment in delivering to its customers, as well as Milestoneā€™s capability in offering added value and flexibility through its operating leases.ā€
