Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Recognizing that NBAA-BACE is a major venue for product unveilings, the association is taking a unique approach to highlighting the newest industry offerings with a new product showcase. From 1 to 2 p.m. on October 22 at the Innovation Zone on the convention floor, product providers will present their new products to show attendees.

 


Participating exhibitors will have five minutes each to discuss their product and present a video or PowerPoint. NBAA further will feature the products through a dedicated page on the NBAA-BACE website and promotion signage throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center and at the static display at Henderson Executive Airport.

 


Eleven companies that provide a range of products and services have signed up for the showcase: Aero Crew Solutions, AeroLEDs, AllProtect for Aviation, Avinode, CCX Technologies, ForeFlight, Gogo Business Aviation, Jeff Bonner R&amp;D, Scott International Procedures, Textron Aviation, and Thales.

 


“More than ever before, NBAA’s convention will be characterized by new product announcements, underscoring how the show is a reflection of and driver for the industry,” said Mike Nichols, NBAA’s senior v-p of strategy and innovation. “Our inaugural New Product Showcase will be a key venue for us to place a spotlight on some of these exciting developments. The lineup will feature a wide array of new offerings from companies of all types and sizes, from all parts of the world.”
