In its 30th year in business, Jet Support Services Inc. (JSSI) comes to LABACE with a specific focus on growing its reach in the Latin America region. It’s doing so with the hiring of Francisco Zozaya to a new role as president of JSSI Latin America as well as the establishment of a headquarters for the region in Mexico City. JSSI defines the region as comprising Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America. 

Zozaya comes to JSSI from Aerolineas Ejecutivas (ALE), where for more than a decade he managed its preowned aircraft sales and acquisitions unit. It was at ALE that he became acquainted with JSSI and eventually signed on as a customer. “I’ve been fortunate enough to see what the product and service is from the customer standpoint,” Zozaya told AIN. “That made me comfortable enough to know that it is a great product, and I’m excited about offering it directly to the market now.”

There is plenty of opportunity in the region to grow Chicago-based JSSI’s core business of providing an hourly cost maintenance program to business aircraft owners and operators covering airframes, avionics, engines, and APUs. “Whenever they’re thinking about a program like this, JSSI should be in their heads,” said Zozaya, who also serves as JSSI corporate senior v-p for business development and strategy.

In addition to its maintenance program, JSSI operates a parts warehouse and engine leasing operation that support its maintenance program customers and third parties, as well as JSSI Advisory Services, which provides aircraft inspections, American Society of Appraisers-certified aircraft appraisals as well as manages maintenance events and insurance claims.

At LABACE, JSSI subsidiary Conklin & de Decker will promote an update to its cloud-based mobile app unveiled last year at NBAA, Zozaya added. The app gives subscribers instant access to its aircraft comparison data, including the Conklin & de Decker Report, and data previously available in the Aircraft Cost Evaluator tool.
