Hoping to provide its Southeast Asian clients with more robust aircraft management, flight support, and CAMO services, Jet Aviation (Booth A531) announced that it will open a flight services office in Singapore, known as Jet Aviation Business Jets Singapore (JBJS).
JBJS will report to Jet Aviation Business Jets Hong Kong (JBJH) and, when required, it will still receive operational support from Jet Aviation’s aircraft management and charter operation there. A portion of JBJS came from Hawker Pacific’s portfolio and was further strengthened with Jet Aviation’s team following the integration of the two companies.
Jet Aviation completed the integration of Hawker Pacific Singapore in December 2018, following the $250 million acquisition of Hawker Pacific’s Asia-Pacific and Middle East operations in May 2018.
“There are plenty of benefits to be integrated with Hawker Pacific’s capabilities,” said Louis Leung, vice president Asia and general manager. “We can now provide a full suite of services for operators with a mixed fleet, regardless of OEM, something that we couldn't really do in the past.”
The Jet Aviation and former Hawker Pacific facilities are situated adjacent to each other at Singapore’s Seletar Airport, and the integration saw total hangar space doubling to nearly 20,000 sq m. Jet Aviation Singapore alone has three hangars with 11,650 sq m of floor space. Hawker Pacific initially signed a memorandum of understanding in February 2018 to expand to another additional 16,000 sq m, but that plan was put on hold during the integration period.
