A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

Mexican airport manager Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico has operated its Privair FBO at Los Cabos International Airport since 1998, and it now plans to expand that operation to four of the other airports it operates in the country. At La Paz, Puerto Vallarta, Tijuana, and Guanajuato’s Aeropuerto Del Bajio, where there are currently no existing FBOs, the company says it will replicate its existing San José Del Cabo facility, which handles approximately 7,000 private aviation flights a year, most coming from the U.S. to the Pacific coast vacation area.
At that flagship location, the first-time NBAA-BACE exhibitor (Booth 3422), will break ground in January on a $1.5 million, 43,000-sq-ft hangar that can accommodate the latest ultra-long-range business jets, according to Miguel Angel Mariscal Angulo, the company’s commercial manager. It will also begin a renovation of its 10,700-sq-ft terminal at Los Cabos, which offers on-site customs and immigration service, conference rooms, catering, concierge, Wi-Fi, aircraft cleaning, and full ground service, as well as a bar and restaurant. The facility is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, with 24-hour security and after-hours callout available.
Offering nearly 17 acres of ramp space, the facility has plenty of room for aircraft parking. The airport can easily accommodate business jets with it 9,855-foot-long runway. Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico administers 12 airports in Mexico, in addition to Montego Bay and Kingston, Jamaica.
