Honeywell Aerospace (Booth Y139) is adding a plate of flight-support offerings to its GoDirect connected services for pilots and dispatchers. The services are packaged within the GoDirect Flight program with flight planning, tracking, and weather information capabilities. These new GoDirect services are designed to help reduce crew workload, while enhancing flight safety and operational efficiency, Honeywell said.

“In today’s fast-paced business aviation environment, our customers are increasingly looking for end-to-end integrated solutions that will help them quickly, easily and cost-effectively manage their flight operations so they can remain competitive,” said John Peterson, senior director for connectivity services for Honeywell.

GoDirect Flight is offering flight planning and scheduling through a partnership with scheduling and trip-planning provider Professional Flight Manager. Through this service, operators can link their scheduling system with Honeywell’s datalink and flight planning services, automating flight logs, flight-following notifications, and flight-following “on maps.” Ground handlers can receive real-time updates on aircraft position.

Meanwhile, GoDirect Flight Tracker enables users to estimate future aircraft positions in 3D based on last known coordinates, heading, speed, and attitude.  A broader range of higher-resolution weather information is available as well through a new partnership with DTN. And GoDirect Flight Bag Pro incorporates access to Jeppesen instrument procedure charts.

As it expands its GoDirect Flight capabilities, Honeywell continues to build its customer base for other GoDirect programs and capabilities. It was selected to provide GoDirect Router and GoDirect Access passenger and cabin connectivity services for Air Hamburg’s fleet of Embraer Legacy 650s.

In addition, Istanbul-based MNG Jet selected GoDirect Datalink and Cabin services for its fleet, providing improved cockpit communications, enhanced flight efficiency, and high-speed Wi-Fi to the cabin.
