Signature To Acquire Cali Airport Self-serve Fuel Operation
The FBO chain expections to expand its facility at Santa Barbara Airport, with the pending acquisition of Mag Aviation Fuel.

Signature Flight Support has received permission from the airport authority at California’s Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA) to acquire Mag Aviation Fuel, the airfield's lone self-service avgas facility. Once the deal is finalized, the location will be the 14th in the company's U.S. network to provide the self-service option.

One of two service providers on the field, Signature has operated an FBO at SBA for two decades, and once the Mag purchase is completed over the next several weeks, self-serve customers will receive complimentary parking on its transient ramp on the day of the fueling event and pedestrian access to and from the airport operations area via the FBO terminal, the company noted.

“Signature continuously works with suppliers to ensure a consistent and dependable supply of avgas is available to general aviation customers,” said company president and COO Maria Sastre. “We’re confident that this additional self-service avgas facility further expresses our commitment to both the local Santa Barbara pilot community and general aviation community as a whole.”
