The sixth annual Macau Business Aviation Exhibition, co-organized by the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), kicks off tomorrow at Macau International Airport with some 22,000 sq m (236,806 sq ft) of exhibit space and a dozen business jets on static display during the three-day show. Aircraft on static will include a Cessna Citation Latitude; Gulfstream G200, G450 and G650ER; Dassault Falcon 7X and 8X; Embraer Legacy 650 and Lineage 1000; and Bombardier CRJ200 and CL850.
Overall, the expo will advocate the Macau government’s “One Belt One Sky” initiative that seeks to develop the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao greater bay area. “The business aviation market in China offers strategic opportunities for Macau, which has been a regional platform for Southeast Asia and the world through close trade and economic relations with Portuguese-speaking countries and the European Union,” said AsBAA. “Business aviation will support this area to become a world-class city cluster.”
Meanwhile, AsBAA is collaborating with Nam Kwong Group and China Aviation Supplies Holding Co. to launch a “general and business aviation executive” forum during the show. This forum will focus on general and business aviation opportunities in the greater bay area, addressing topics such as infrastructure investment and development; aviation lease financing; government policies and the regulatory environment; customer service; and talent development.
