Elliott Aviation recently commemorated its 500th Garmin G1000 installation on a Beechcraft King Air. The milestone system was fitted on a King Air B200 for Canadian operator Keewatin Air, the ninth such installation Elliott has completed for Keewatin, which operates 12 King Airs.
The Moline, Illinois-based MRO and completions firm handed over the G1000-equipped aircraft on October 16. The installation was among five Elliott delivered during the week. The company, a top installer of the G1000 aboard King Airs, was the first to install the avionics system aboard the King Air 200 series and the 300/350, Elliott said. Further, Elliott said it was the first to deliver the upgraded Garmin G1000NXi package.
Elliott, which has been installing G1000s since 2008, has fitted the Garmin systems on aircraft that operate on six continents. The King Air installation work is completed at Elliottâs Moline headquarters and facility in Des Moines, Iowa.
âWe have had an outstanding partnership with Garmin and it has led to positive customer interactions across the globe,â said Mark Wilken, Elliott's vice president of avionics programs and operational logistics.
