Jet Aviation (Booth N4632) is expanding its services across its facilities with new technologies, facilities and aircraft maintenance approvals.
The company recently developed a supplemental type certificate (STC) in partnership with Honeywell to replace obsolete cockpit displays with DU-875 LCD units. The partnership is offering a trade in credit for each DU-870 replaced with DU-875 before next year.
“Jet Aviation has completed an EASA STC for this off-the-shelf, certified solution that provides LCD avionics to replace the old CRT units in Falcon and Cessna aircraft,” said Samuel Nemoz, manager of direct sales for Jet Aviation in Basel.
Jet Aviation Basel in Europe is set to begin operations at the end of 2018 on a 93,646-sq-ft/8,700-sq-m hangar. Built to accommodate demand for widebody completions and refurbishment, it can host up to a Boeing 747. “As corporate jets increase in size and range, client requirements change too,” said Jet Aviation’s Basel facility manager Sylvain Von Hof.
In addition, the company's Singapore base recently received approvals from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to provide support Airbus Corporate Jets, Boeing Business Jets and Gulfstream G650/650ERs.
Its Singapore MRO facility is authorized to provide 72-month inspections for ACJs and BBJs. Also, the Singapore facility added the G650/650ER to its Malaysia maintenance authorizations.
“These services ratings in Singapore enable Jet Aviation to provide full support to ACJ, BBJ and G650 series aircraft across notable airworthiness authorities that now include Singapore, China, the U.S., Bermuda and the Cayman Islands,” said John Riggir, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation’s MRO and FBO operation at Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore.
In Dubai, Jet Aviation will hold a grand opening of its new Dubai FBO facility on November 13, the second day of the Dubai Airshow. Jet Aviation has handled 25,000 aircraft at its Dubai location.
In addition, Jet Aviation announced that its global charter fleet added 13 aircraft, signed new aircraft management agreements and plans to open a charter operation in Malta later this year.
