West Star Celebrates New Landing Gear Shop, 145 Cert
The company acquired the dedication 20,000-sq-ft landing gear facility in February.

West Star Aviation has increased its capabilities with the opening of a new dedicated landing gear facility in Grand Junction, Colorado, and the receipt of U.S. FAA Part 145 certification for its satellite location at Denver Centennial Airport.

The company formally celebrated the grand opening of the landing gear shop with an open house on May 26. West Star acquired the newly redesigned, 20,000-sq-ft Grand Junction facility in February. Capabilities include support for Challenger, Hawker and Embraer Phenom landing gear. Along with the landing gear facility, West Star operates a full service maintenance, repair and overhaul shop in Grand Junction.

As for its Centennial Airport location, West Star opened the satellite facility in 2014 to provide support for aircraft in the Denver region. The facility has offered avionics repairs, maintenance troubleshooting and other services. For more extensive work, West Star will obtain ferry permits to provide the support at its Grand Junction facility or at its other full-service MROs in East Alton, Illinois, and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
