Brazilian Bizav Group Names Pires as Executive Director
Flavio Pires is replacing Ricardo Nogueira as executive director of ABAG.

The board of Brazilian business aviation association ABAG has appointed Flavio Pires to replace Ricardo Nogueira as executive director. The change was announced on April 3 by Leonardo Fuiza, who is chairman of the São Paulo-based organization.

Pires, who assumes his new role on April 5, has held a number of positions in the business aviation sector over the past 20 years, most recently having served as a vice president for support and services with Brazilian rotorcraft operator Helibras. He earned a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering, followed by a master's degree in business administration.

Fiuza took over as ABAG board chairman in 2016, succeeding Eduardo Marson. He is president and CEO of Brazilian charter operator TAM Aviação Executiva.

ABAG (Associacão Brasileira de Aviação Geral) organizes the annual Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE). The next edition of the show will be held at São Paulo’s Congonhas Airport from August 15-17.
