Baker Aviation Approved for Worldwide Charter Ops
The charter company received its worldwide operations specifications and the "10 or more" passenger approval.

The FAA has approved aircraft charter and management group Baker Aviation for worldwide operations and for carrying 10 or more passengers on a flight. To attain worldwide operations specifications, the Texas-based company’s Dassault Falcon 50EX crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a proving run in September.

Baker received its “10 or more” approval when it recently added an Embraer Legacy 600 to its Part 135 certificate. To receive this approval, the operator compiled a general maintenance manual, which covers topics such as inspections, quality assurance, recordkeeping, training, airworthiness releases, a continuing analysis and surveillance program and other authorization requirements. These procedures are applied to any aircraft in Baker’s fleet that has 10 or more passenger seats.

“Our managed fleet has been growing in the heavy jet category, and we continually receive requests to fly more than 10 passengers,” said Baker Aviation Charter president Stanley Baker III. “Worldwide operations and the ability to seat more passengers became a necessity to best serve our charter clients.”

Headquartered at Meacham International Airport in Fort Worth, Baker Aviation also offers maintenance services for Hawkers, King Airs, Beechjets, Citations, Learjets, Falcons, Challengers and Gulfstreams.
