EJM To Exit Third-party MRO Biz, Downsizing Two Shops
The move comes as the Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary exits the third-party aircraft maintenance business.

NetJets intends to downsize two of the locations under its Executive Jet Management (EJM) brand as it exits the third-party aircraft maintenance business. Over the next several months, the Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary plans to eliminate approximately 100 staff positions between its Cincinnati Municipal Airport/Lunken Field and Westchester County (N.Y.) Airport facilities and concentrate their efforts solely on maintaining EJM-managed aircraft.

According to an EJM spokesman, "We are committed to providing the best possible service to our customers by focusing on our growing core business of aircraft management and charter services.” The spokesman noted the cuts will come in the maintenance, materials and line service areas at the two locations.

“These teams have performed superbly, and we understand the impact this will have on them,” he added. “We greatly value the contributions they have made to our company and will be providing them with assistance to help ease the transition.”
