Bombardier’s service center network has completed more than seventy-five 120-month inspections on the Global 5000, Express, XRS and 6000 fleet. The manufacturer’s network marked the heavy-inspection milestone as the installed based of Globals has surpassed 700 aircraft. The fleet has reached close to 2 million flight hours and performed nearly 700,000 landings.
Occurring in the aircraft’s 10th year of service, the 120-month inspection is one of the most extensive inspections in an aircraft’s lifecycle, involving detailed checks of the airframe, structure and landing gear, Bombardier noted.
The milestone was reached as Bombardier also continues an expansion of its support network, opening a center in Singapore and growing its capabilities in Wichita in recent years. The company also has plans to open centers in London and in Tianjin, China.
Bombardier currently has seven wholly owned service centers and 15 customer response team mobile units worldwide that are equipped to support Globals, Challengers and Learjets.
