Lombardo holds an A&amp;P Certificate, ATP, CFI and Ground Instructor ratings. He was a corporate pilot and was a research pilot and flight instructor at the University of Illinois. East Alton, Ill.-based West Star Aviation has received an approved model list (AML) STC for ADS-B OUT that covers Bombardier Challenger 601-3As and -3Rs and Dassault Falcon 900Bs and 900EXs equipped with Honeywell GNSSU global position sensors and Rockwell Collins TDR-94D transponders. The STC meets all current ADS-B requirements and the FAA mandate deadline of Jan. 1, 2020. West Star also offers the lateral performance for vertical guidance (LPV) functionality as an additional option.
