Norwest Equity Partners Invests In West Star Aviation
The 'significant investment' is intended to help West Star continue to grow.

Minneapolis-based financial firm Norwest Equity Partners (NEP) has made a “significant investment” in East Alton, Ill.-based business aviation MRO West Star Aviation. The transaction was completed on Thursday and announced yesterday.


“On behalf of the entire West Star team, we are confident that our new partnership with NEP will help us successfully achieve our next level of growth. Our operating philosophy will remaing grounded in our strong technical expertise, experienced employees, attention to detail and focus on customer service,” said West Star Aviation CEO Robert Rasberry.


NEP managing general partner Tim DeVries said the investment (amount undisclosed) in West Star will provide capital and resources to further build and expand the MRO. West Star offers services such as airframe maintenance, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment, paint, parts and accessory services. It has additional operating locations in Grand Junction, Colo., and Chattanooga, Tenn., along with satellite operations at various locations throughout the Midwest.
