Looking back at 2015 one can see a slow build of inventory and fewer transactions than in the previous year, but that comparison by no means suggests that 2015 was inactive. Rather, it’s a commentary on how off the charts 2014 was compared to several previous years. In retrospect, last year now seems more like a punctuation mark to the market’s comeback, if not in values then in overall sales. While pricing in many markets is well off owners’ hopes, it seems that it is pricing that has brought buyers back to the market and enticed some to jump in for the first time.
